Friendly Reminder, SICK POLICY:

As the weather transitions and we enter cold and flu season, please keep our sick policy in mind! Walden’s goal continues to be keeping everyone as healthy as possible, and preventing the spread of illness, especially during “sick season “.

Our policy currently states:

-          Temperature reading of 99.9 degrees or higher is considered a fever

-          Individuals MUST BE fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning to the center for sessions

-          With vomiting and/or diarrhea illness, individuals must stay home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours

-          Individuals suffering from a common cold will be assessed on an individual basis and will be considered sick or healthy at the discretion of clinical staff.

-          Individuals who experience serious or unexplainable illness may be required to provide a doctor's note before the individual will be deemed healthy and allowed to participate in therapy sessions.

With this being said, please also keep in mind that we do have an attendance policy. We ask that you provide 24-hour notice if your child will not be attending a scheduled session with us. Per our attendance policy, “if the individual is sick, a doctor's note on letterhead must be provided. The note must include the date of the appointment and any additional restrictions upon returning to Walden. Fees waived for sick days will be considered with proper documentation”.
